Snoring is a big problem for some people and their partners. The partner is often the person who suffers most due to the disturbed night’s sleep they get and all the tiredness and frustration this causes. This can lead to irritability and sometimes can lead to the complete breakdown of relationships. The snorer can also suffer a less than ideal restful night as they may wake themselves from snoring or from temporarily stopping breathing (known as sleep apnoea). A sharp dig in the ribs from their partner is also not good for a good night’s sleep.
Snoring is caused by the vibration of soft tissues in the throat and behind the tongue. Studies indicate that at least 30% of adults snore. This can be a major factor in sleep disturbance and the resulting stress, leading to lack of energy, poor concentration, mood swings, and irritability. In the long term, this problem can also lead to high blood pressure and heart problems.
Sleep apnoea also known as obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), is a more serious complication. This can result in the patient having a poor-quality sleep making them tired and not able to function properly the next day, especially if the process is repeated night after night.
With Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) an increase in weight or a reduction in muscle tone can trigger the change from a partially blocked airway to a completely blocked airway. It is common for the sufferer to be completely unaware of the disorder, and remain undiagnosed for several years. OSA has been linked to an increased risk of stroke and cardiovascular disease.
Somnowell for Snoring
The good news is that the overwhelming majority of people suffering from this problem can be effectively treated using a Somnowell. The appliance is such an effective treatment because it tackles the problem at its root cause. The Somnowell is designed to gently hold the lower jaw and tongue in the ‘recovery position’ while you sleep, keeping the airway open.
Somnowell for Sleep Apnoea
The Somnowell sleeping aid is a very effective long-term treatment for obstructive sleep apnoea. The Somnowell ensures an open airway is maintained throughout sleep, and is perfectly designed to meet the unique requirements of each user. A high level of precision goes into the design of the Somnowell, making it an extremely comfortable and effective treatment for sleep apnoea.
The Somnowell is the world's best oral device for sleep apnoea
Oral devices are acknowledged by experts to be one of the most effective treatments for snoring and sleep apnoea. Somnowell have developed a truly comfortable and effective lifetime solution based on this proven treatment option. The Somnowell could be the answer.
The Somnowell is the first oral device of its type made from chrome cobalt alloy, and is widely regarded as the Rolls Royce of oral devices. It is of minimal bulk and therefore is easily tolerated unlike the bulky alternatives. It is very hygienic as it is made completely of hard shiny metal. It is a long term solution and will last many many years.
The Somnowell was invented by Dr Simon Ash a highly respected Consultant and Specialist Orthodontist, who has successfully treated royalty, celebrities, and many medical professionals.
The Somnowell is the culmination of over 15 years research and development. In a recent study 93% of patients reported the Somnowell device as being a success.
"After getting sleep test results from The British Snoring & Sleep Apnoea Association I was convinced I had to try something. Although seeing it as a risk it seemed like the Somnowell was the most endorsed solution. I had tried nasal strips and sprays etc with zero impact."
"I can completely recommend Somnowell as an investment - it works - and for someone with a strong gag reflex it is surprisingly comfortable (although tolerable is probably the better description)."
"The fitting and after care service was provided by the Dentist and I'd suggest looking no further if you want someone to take you through the process with the highest degree of professionalism."
"The experience, knowledge and confidence with the product is very evident and they has done his utmost to ensure I have adapted well to using the Somnowell. I could ask no more of the service provided even as I maintained a scepticism to how effective the product night prove to be. The smart watch / smart phone sleep recordings are conclusive when I have slept with and without the Somnowell as is feedback from my partner. So I am committed to the Somnowell as a sleep aid and have made adjustments under their guidance to increase the comfort of the device."
"Just a quick bit of feedback after wearing the device for a month or so, and some encouragement for anyone trying to make up their mind. IT WORKS! Maybe that’s all anyone needs to know.
The service you provided was professional, efficient and painless. Two quick visits and done, followed by excellent aftercare, though very little was needed.
The initial mild discomfort and soreness have now gone completely and I hardly notice it’s there.
Thanks from me and perhaps more so from the missus."
"I wanted to give feedback after trying out the device without the CPAP machine. Now, I have been using the device without the CPAP machine and I am delighted to say that somnowell has' cured' my moderate sleep apnea. I was amazed, it had really worked.
Although I read many positive feedback about this device I did not really believe it would work for me. But as I was desperate and was getting ill with sleep apnea I needed to try this device as a last resort before having further surgery for sleep apnea.
I am so glad I gave this device a try as it has stopped my snoring 'cured ' my sleep apnea. I have not slept well for the last 2 years since the sleep disturbances began until I have tried somnowell. I cannot thank you enough for your first class service and for being a somnowell practioner. Thank you!"

The Dentist helped make the whole process of obtaining a Somnowell device transparent, with plenty of description of what was going on during the process and advice on using and caring for the device. It ended up being a pleasant experience much to my surprise. Would happily recommend both the Somnowell device and The Dental Practice.
