A new report from Saudi Arabia now suggests that having a larger than normal tongue and tonsils could be an early indication of the disease. Your dentist can spot the early warning signs of this disorder:
- Oversized tonsils
- Larger than normal indentations made by teeth along the edges of the tongue
- Larger than normal uvula (tissue at the back of the throat).
“We need to educate dentists about the major role they play in identifying patients with sleep-related disorders,” say researchers.
