This comes from a recent online article about the findings of a survey involving almost 500 women aged from 50 to 87 who had received HRT. The findings noted:
- A 44% improvement in overall gum health for many women
- Significantly lower occurrence of gum disease
- Lower incidence of damage to teeth and tooth extraction
The findings have prompted the Oral Health Foundation to urge women going through the menopause to see a dentist “if you are in pain or discomfort”.
